When the 2020 Golf Magazine Top 100 rankings came out, I read through the list to see what was new… To my delight, an old Donald Ross “hidden gem” called Glens Falls made the list (and even better after a google search I discovered it was just a few hour drive away from my house).
Located in the Saratoga, NY area, this is a must for anyone who lives in a 3-4 hour radius of the club (think: Boston, NYC, Hartford, Albany, Rochester, etc.).

The property lends itself to a world class golf course with a diverse set of hilly (but walkable) terrain.

Ross utilizes a steep ravine that crosses the course on a number of holes, and makes use of the landscape with a routing that is clever and pleasant.

The greens are huge and awesome and a number are very unique.

Thanks to Adrienne for hosting and Kyle for showing us that an iron from the tee on a par 5, sometimes is the right club.
